Why You’ll Love this Face Mist
This DIY orange peel face mist is not only super easy to make, but it’s also packed with antioxidants from the orange peel, helping to brighten and protect your skin. The grapefruit seed extract helps it stay fresh a little longer, but since we’re keeping it all-natural, it’s best to make small batches and enjoy it while it's fresh.
So go ahead, treat yourself to a face mist that’s not only refreshing but also packed with natural goodness your skin will love!
Note: Grapefruit Seed Extract (GSE) is often marketed for digestive health, as it's commonly taken in supplements for its antimicrobial and antioxidant properties. However, it also has a place in skincare, where it's used as a natural preservative due to its ability to inhibit the growth of bacteria, mold, and yeast.
In skincare formulations, GSE is typically added in small amounts (around 0.5-1%) to help extend the shelf life of water-based products, especially those that don’t contain other preservatives.
It’s important to use a version of GSE that is specifically designed for skincare or cosmetic use, rather than one intended for internal use, to ensure it's safe for topical application.
